James Fowler Faces Murder

James Fowler, 47, of Westbrook, Maine, has been arrested and charged with the murder of his 59-year-old roommate, Robert Seger. On November 21, Westbrook police responded to a medical emergency call at 34 Lamb Street around 11:30 p.m. Officers found Seger unresponsive, suffering from severe blunt force injuries. He was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he later died.

Medical Examiner’s Findings

The Maine Department of Public Safety confirmed that the state’s chief medical examiner ruled Seger’s death a homicide, caused by blunt force trauma.

Arrest and Allegations

Fowler was arrested on December 3 and is now facing charges of depraved indifference murder. According to authorities, Fowler admitted to arguing with Seger on the night of the incident. He claimed to have left the residence before returning and calling 911.
